Donor Relations Director

WORT is Hiring a Donor Relations Director!

Are you an experienced fundraiser who works well both independently and collaboratively? Are you passionate about raising money for causes you believe in?

If you are a highly organized, creative go-getter—and you work best with substantial freedom and minimal supervision—this may be an excellent opportunity for you.

As a member of the WORT Staff Collective, the Donor Relations Director is accountable for developing and executing a $750,000 annual fundraising plan that highlights the listener-sponsor partnership and ensures WORT’s continued financial health.

Duties include:

  • organizing on-air and off-air fundraising drives
  • engaging with donors
  • working effectively with volunteers and staff
  • updating the development plan as needed, and
  • providing fundraising data to the board, committees, and staff that helps guide programming and other station operations.

The Donor Relations Director supervises the part-time Development Assistant, who manages donor database entries and other office tasks.

The Donor Relations Director, along with six other full-time staff members, forms the staff collective. The staff collective manages the daily operations of the station under the direction of the WORT Board of Directors.
