Who We Are:
Teach For America is a national nonprofit that provides paid public service pathways designed for college students and recent graduates. We seek applicants who desire to build career skills, take on meaningful responsibility in their work, and contribute to systems change in underserved communities by contributing to students’ academic and personal growth, and deeply embedded in communities.
What You’ll Do:
- Teach full-time for two years in an underserved public school
- Build relationships with children and families
- Understand the social barriers kids face inside and outside the classroom
- Actively develop your problem solving, time management and collaboration skills
- Increase access to education and opportunities for students by collaborating with your community to address social challenges

Who This Is For:
TFA’s teaching corps is for determined individuals who want to take on challenging responsibilities, develop leadership skills fast, and do work that transforms lives. No matter your college major or job experience, Teach For America helps you make a difference right away. While the work isn't easy, it brings joy, meaning, and purpose.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher
- Bachelor’s degree (in any field of study)
- Must be a citizen, national, or legal resident of the United States, EAD holder or have DACA status

Applicants do not need a background in education, or teaching certification – all experience levels and backgrounds are welcome to apply

Program Benefits:
- $32,000 - $72,000 per year + benefits (e.g., medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, life insurance, retirement plans etc.)
- Baseline Regional Stipends available to all incoming corps members and vary in amount based on region
- An additional Pell/EAD Stipend is automatically added for all Pell Grant recipients and EAD holders, regardless of region
