Technical/Creative Design Internship - Spring 2026

 

DSG Outerwear is a women’s exclusive outdoor apparel company founded in Madison, Wisconsin.

This position is for 32 hours a week, Monday-Thursday, based in our Madison, WI office.

 

Qualifications:

• Recent graduate or currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Design, Technical Design, Textiles, or related field.

• Proficiency with Adobe Suite (primarily Illustrator) and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong ability to draw CAD Technical flats.

• Experienced written and verbal communication, time management, and organizational skills.

• Collaborative approach to working, with a willingness to ask questions is important.

• Knowledge of pattern making, construction, fit, and grading preferred.

 

Responsibilities:

• Assist in reviewing and updating sketches and line plans in Adobe Illustrator.

• Maintain and revise tech packs in SharePoint.

• Participate in fabric, trim, and color selections.

• Conduct market research to stay up to date on industry trends.

• Participate in fit sessions, including taking detailed notes and photos.

• Measure and inspect samples compared to tech pack specifications.

• Assist in communicating with vendors.

• Complete tasks and projects as assigned while maintaining deadlines.
