We’re seeking a Graphic & Packaging Designer with proven experience in regulated environments who understands the importance of precision, branding, and compliance with FDA and FTC labeling regulations. You'll collaborate with in-house teams and creative partners to bring packaging from concept to compliant execution.
Key Responsibilities
Packaging & Artwork Design
- Design and revise packaging graphics for OTC products: cartons, blister packs, shrink sleeves, bottles, labels, inserts, and leaflets.
- Develop print-ready artwork based on dieline, brand guidelines, and technical/regulatory specifications.
- Partner with creative agencies like BettyAgency.com and FavoriteChild.com to maintain cohesive brand aesthetics across print and digital packaging.
Regulatory Compliance & Labeling Accuracy
- Ensure all packaging and labeling meet requirements under 21 CFR Parts 201, 211, 310 and other applicable FDA regulations for OTC drug products.
- Adhere to FTC advertising and marketing guidelines, especially regarding health claims and disclosures.
- Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs to incorporate accurate ingredient listings, dosage instructions, Drug Facts panels, warnings, NDCs, and storage information.
- Maintain familiarity with USP, FDA OTC monograph guidelines, and DSHEA labeling principles for dietary supplements.
Retail Portal Artwork Submission
- Upload, manage, and track packaging artwork through retailer and distributor platforms, including:

- CVS ClearTrack
- Walgreens EDGE
- Costco Vendor Portal
- Rite Aid Vendor Central
- Dollar Tree / Family Dollar
- Target Partners Online
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Marketing, Regulatory, QA, Supply Chain, and Sales to align packaging designs with business strategy and launch timelines.
- Liaise with printers, co-packers, and packaging vendors to ensure artwork feasibility and regulatory consistency and proofreading in timely matters
Prototyping & Quality Assurance
- Build mockups and assist with hands-on prototyping in our in-house Design Lab.
- Conduct detailed final checks for barcode accuracy, braille compliance, dieline integrity, and FDA-required elements.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, wellness, or CPG packaging design with a focus on regulated industries.
