Marketing & Communications Intern

About the Job 

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Intern to support our expanding franchise marketing team. This role is ideal for a junior or senior looking to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing, franchise communications, and social media strategy. 

This paid internship is primarily remote, with the option for periodic in-person collaboration at our Monona office or scheduled on-campus meetings. 

 

What You’ll Do: 

-Support the buildout and organization of the monthly social media content calendar across all franchise marketing channels. 

-Create and assist with 3–4 weekly social media posts for franchise owners, ensuring consistent brand voice and quality. 

-Assist in creating content for headquarters social media channels, including graphics, captions, and digital assets. 

-Assist in developing and preparing email campaigns for franchise development initiatives. 

-Complete design requests submitted by franchise owners, including simple graphics, templates, and branded materials aligned with brand guidelines. 

-Participate in weekly marketing team meetings and contribute ideas to support active campaigns and projects. 

-Collaborate with the marketing team on ongoing assignments and special projects as needed. 

-Attend an in-person, hands-on training session for new franchise owners to support on-site marketing activities (transportation provided if necessary). 

 

Qualifications 

-A strong communicator who excels in collaborative environments. 

-Fast, adaptable, and flexible, with a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment. 

-Creative, with a demonstrated interest in digital marketing and social media. 

-Proactive and eager to learn, with a professional approach to problem-solving. 

-Comfortable working remotely while remaining responsive and engaged. 

-Currently a junior or senior pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
