UX Graphic Designer
As a UX/Graphic Designer at ClearEdge, you'll be part of a dynamic team that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence. You'll work directly with our engineering teams to design interfaces and visual assets that make powerful software tools accessible, intuitive, and visually effective for our users.
Design & Research:
- Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma and other industry-standard tools
- Develop user personas, journey maps, and information architectures
- Apply human-centered design principles to complex technical challenges
- Design visual assets including iconography, data visualizations, typography systems, and branded UI components
Visual & Brand Design:
- Develop and maintain cohesive design systems and style guides
- Produce polished, print-ready and screen-ready graphics for internal and customer-facing deliverables
- Ensure visual consistency across product interfaces, presentations, and marketing materials
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling visual communications
Collaboration & Development:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineers, product managers, and stakeholders
- Participate in agile development processes and design sprints
- Present design concepts and rationale to technical and non-technical audiences
- Iterate on designs based on user feedback and technical constraints
Basic Qualifications:
- Recent graduate or graduating Summer 2026 with a degree in Graphic Design, UX Design, Visual Communication, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Top Secret security clearance
- Strong portfolio demonstrating graphic design and UX/UI skills, including visual design work such as layouts, branding, or data visualization
- Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Solid understanding of typography, color theory, layout principles, and visual hierarchy
- Experience with design systems, wireframing, and prototyping
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minor or coursework in UX, Human-Centered Computing (HCC), Visual Communication, or a related program
- Certificates in graphic design, UX design, human factors, or related areas
- Experience with user research methods and usability testing
- Familiarity with agile development processes
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles
- Experience with HTML/CSS for design handoff and collaboration with developers
- Background in motion graphics or interactive media
