Learning and Development Intern

Brakebush Brothers, Inc. is seeking a Learning and Development Intern in Irving, TX! 
 
OUR INTERNSHIPS 
Expect to engage in meaningful work that makes an impact on our people, processes, and/or product. We aim to provide you with experiences, networking, and professional development that will help advance you in your field. OUR goal is to build relationships and careers of potential team members. We are committed to your success.  
 
  • This is a paid internship at $18.00/hour.  
 
  • Interns must have reliable transportation. We offer housing stipends to those who qualify. 
 
  • Most internships run 12-14 weeks from mid-May through August. We are flexible with most personal summer plans. Hiring managers will discuss intern duration and summer schedules with candidates. 
 
YOUR LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT INTERNSHIP involves:     
  • Instructional design and collaboration with SMEs to design/implement curricula.  
  • Support development of a new learning management system (LMS) to streamline training efforts. 
  • Creating and delivering skills-based workshop for in-person and remote audiences.   
 
WHO YOU ARE:   
  • You are currently pursuing an advanced degree in Education, Instructional Design, Communications, Human Resources, or related field.   
  • Preference given to those attaining senior status in Fall 2023 or graduating in 2023/2024. 
  • Understands basic concepts of adult education, training design and learning evaluation methods.  
  • Preference to candidates who are familiar with Articulate, Microsoft Suite (incl. PowerPoint) and the ADDIE method of training design. Will provide training on these platforms.   
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), comfort with public speaking, relationship builder
